The karate club has for several years now been involved in schools across the NW of Ireland.

For the last year we hve been in Portrush primary school, Limavady Grammer Lower sixth girls self defence, Ballymoney High School, Loreto Coleraine girls upper sixth self defence, St Pauls and St Peters primary school in Dungiven, Donemana Primary outside Derry.

All the primary classes are all after school clubs. After Easter we are starting in Larne primary school. We are currently involved in a project in Harpers Hill school where the children of the Harpers Hill area come on a Tuesday nite from 7-9. Only recently Terry was a guest speaker for the Ballymena.Org woman on the move and has just finished a project with Wavers in Ballymoney. Wavers is a org which deals with people affected in the troubles in Northern Ireland, the club regularly does demonstrations in supermarkets and community groups as well Sensei L:isa Hunter specialises in teaching children with autism in her own club in Kilrea and she also travel to Ballycastle on a Friday to teach a club dedicated to children with the condition as this is somethig she is interested in. Don Ray Geddis who runs the Vale Ventre is running a class to do with adult fitness. If anyone is intereted in discussing any of the projects that the club does for the community please contact us. One of the main things that the club and Terry foused on at the moment is getting as many qualified referees as possible Lisa Hunter and Yasmin Geddis and Martin Cole are travelling to England to do the course, also Sensei Tterry Geddis, Lisa Hunter and Don Ray Geddis are involved in teaching one to one classes
